Examining our server logs, we find that through December 5, the sixth most read post of 2007 on this blog is Sun sets on SunRocket.

Ouch, who can forget that dark day in July, when without any real warning, 200,000-subscriber VoIP company SunRocket

closed up shop and left their formerly loyal customers to cast around for a quick replacement? Sometimes, with less-than-satisfying results?

This whole implosion of SunRocket was a sad episode, full of mis-steps and lots of left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. So pathetic, this should be taught in management classes.

I called these victims "SunRocket orphans." The phrase caught on in the tech blogosphere.
