Oracle on Thursday launched the latest version of its Enterprise Manager application, which is used to oversee IT assets.
In this latest version, Oracle added application management with business metrics. The general idea is that metrics, business transactions and user experience can be combined. A key component of the application includes user experience management that measures usage statistics and diagnostics for various Oracle parts such as Siebel CRM and E-Business Suite. It also includes transaction management to find transactions and extract business content, and business service management to find services such as billing and shipping and analyse metrics.
Application to disk management is designed to cut the need for multiple tools at each software layer, such as database, middleware, operating system and hardware. Most of these highlights revolve around Oracle's middleware, servers and other parts.
