Cavill spent nine years working for SAP as VP indirect channels Asia Pacific and Japan as well as taking care of indirect strategy in SAP's global leadership team.

"We have aggressive plans to expand the network related services teams to meet demand from a wide range of large corporate clients," Cavill said in a statement. "Orange Business Services has shown double-digit growth during the past three years, and I will work closely with the senior management team to build on that momentum."

The former managing director for ANZ, Ian McCallum, left in June to start as director of the business solutions group at Interactive.

Interactive has dealt in service availability carrying out disaster recovery and break fix management for years, but wanted to start a managed services division, he said, and the managing director of the company, who he had known a long time, gave McCallum a call.

"It's exciting now I'm working for an all Australian company," McCallum said. "It's like a new chapter."

He said he had no regrets, although leaving Orange was tough. "It was a real hard decision because I loved Orange," he said.
