Orange to let business customers switch add-ons

The operator will allow customers to change their add-ons, such as unlimited texts or overseas calling, according to their needs at the time

Mobile operator Orange is to update its UK tariffs for small and medium businesses, allowing them to change their chosen add-ons on a monthly basis.

The new tariffs were announced on Friday and will be available from 4 May. It will let users switch between add-ons — such as unlimited texts or overseas calls — to suit their business needs at the time. The updated tariffs include Business SIM Only, Business Solo and Business Sense.

"Our new plans reflect that there are times when it is helpful for businesses to be able to increase or decrease their mobile facilities — such as when changing employee numbers, customer demand or market conditions," said Martin Lyne, director for small and medium business, in a statement.

The available add-ons, classified by Orange as "extra benefits", include email, 1GB of mobile data, extra texts, overseas calling and calling while abroad.

Orange will also launch a month's free trial with Huddle's project management and document sharing service, the company said.
