PayPal named a John Rainey as chief financial officer. Rainey had been CFO at United Airlines.
With the move, PayPal rounds out its management team since being spun off from eBay.
Rainey will officially become CFO Aug. 24. Rainey will lead PayPal's financial operations, regional teams and investor relations. He will report to CEO Dan Schulman.
Patrick Dupuis, PayPal's CFO for the last five years, will remain at the company and take a new role. The position? Senior vice president of simplicity, quality and productivity, which is aimed at boosting the company's customer experience.
At United, Rainey was responsible for financial strategy, balance sheet optimization and capital allocation.
