In anticipation of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus launch day, Pebble just announced firmware version 2.5 that includes support for iOS 8 with some slick functionality.

The new update also includes emoji support for those who received texts with these integrated icons, developer access to the compass, and the return of the DOMO watchface.

If you have an Android smartphone you can update your firmware now and find support for these functions.

iOS 8 owners will find that firmware 2.5 brings improved notification management, including the ability to dismiss an alert on your Pebble that clears it from the iOS notification center.

Firmware 2.5 is now on my Pebble and I look forward to testing out the iOS 8 support later today.
