PhysX on the Radeon? Seems that it's possible!

Eran Badit of NGOHQ.com has been hard at work hacking away at NVIDIA's PhysX layer and claims to have it working on the Radeon HD 3870.

Here's what we have so far:

The screenshot above shows 3DMark Vantage results of the Radeon HD 3870 with PhysX enabled. The score is an impressive P4262, up from around P3800 with PhysX disabled. Early indications are that this hack will work on XP and Vista (both 32-bit and 64-bit).

Some of you might be skeptical of the screenshot provided, but I've been following Badit's work for some time now and I've never known him to make false claims. He's been clear so far that this is work in progress, that there are bugs that need to be found and fixed, and that this hack might not see light to day if things don't work out right (all of which makes absolute sense to me).

I'm looking forward to seeing more info on this soon.
