Pick up a 3TB Hitachi hard drive for $120

Want to boost storage capacity so you can store more games, audio and video on your system? How about a 3TB drive for a cool $120!

Want to boost storage capacity so you can store more junk games, audio and video on your system? How about a 3TB drive for a cool $120!

I don't usually point to specific outlets, but this HITACHI Deskstar 0S03230 over on NewEgg is an absolute steal for $120 (previously was $150).

Remember this is a bare drive, so all you get is a box with a drive in it. No screws, no cables, no instructions ... nothing.

Also remember that high-capacity drives larger than 2.2TB aren't suited to all systems and operating systems. Hitachi has a document outlining the limitations here [PDF], but here's a summary:

Not the fastest drive around, but it's a great way to boost storage capacity without breaking the bank.
