Press release of the day

According to Keynote Systems, "the mobile and internet performance authority", nearly 80 percent of respondents to some or other survey of theirs said they would check or send emails via their mobile devices while on the tube, given the chance. Not sure who they surveyed, but I'd be shocked if 80 percent of people actually knew how to use their phones for email, even if their phones could all handle it in the first place.

"67 percent of respondents currently use the mobile internet at home"? Pah!

They also reveal that "almost 65 percent of public transport users said they would find it irritating if people were talking on their mobile phone whilst travelling on the tube". Well, no kidding, but you can't have it both ways, folks!
