Film and club goers in the UK can now use their mobile phones as an entry ticket.

Wireless company mticket has signed a deal with London's Prince Charles Cinema and Clubconnexion.com, which serves 100 clubs in the UK. It will allow users to order a ticket online and have an SMS message delivered to the mobile phone, which can then be presented at the entrance of the venue. Mobile phone users will also be able to send messages by SMS to mticket for more details about upcoming events. In order to eliminate illegal copies of SMS messages the company has also developed software to work with Compaq's handheld computers, allowing the venues to authenticate ticket sales and details of the guest. Clubconnexion venues include the Home and the Ministry of Sound nightclubs in London.
