Public safety features not top concern among VoIP adopters

According to Yankee Group(client reg. req.), 911 capability ranks high on a consumer's list of must haves in telephone service, but early adopters are willing to put up with inconvenience and risk of lower quality 911 for the lower price and added features of VoIP.

According to Yankee Group(client reg. req.), 911 capability ranks high on a consumer's list of must haves in telephone service, but early adopters are willing to put up with inconvenience and risk of lower quality 911 for the lower price and added features of VoIP.

In the United States, VoIP is slowly gaining traction, but consumers are confused regarding its features and capabilities.Also, service providers handle E911 services differently (E911 provides address-specific information to public safety agencies whenever someone makes a 911 call), adding to the problem.
