Q2 CPU marketshares: Intel - 82.7%, AMD - 15.5%

Intel's market share, including shipments of processors for Microsoft's Xbox game console, slid 0.8% to 82.7% in Q2, compared with Q1, according to Mercury Research. At the same time, AMD picked up 0.5% of market share, rising to 15.5% in Q2, compared with Q1. The remaining 1.8% of the Q2 PC processor market was split between Via Technologies and Transmeta.
