Worldwide mobile phone sales in 2005 will approach 750 mln units, a 13% increase from 2004, Gartner says. The mobile phone industry had a record Q1 with worldwide sales totalling 180.6 mln units, a 17% increase from Q1 2004. The previous high for mobile phone sales was 153.7 mln units in Q1 2004.
