Roambi, one of the early players in data visualization for iOS devices, has announced the launch of Roambi Business, a cloud offering for the back-end services of the Roambi Analytics product. Although the Roambi client application is super easy to procure through the App Store and install on iPhone and iPad devices, the back-end infrastructure required to produce Roambi data visualizations could, until now, only run on-premises, involving non-trivial upkeep and expense.
Roambi Business, which is available starting today, can be had for $39 per user per month, without any infrastructure headaches. A one-year minimum contract and 10-user minimum applies, amounting to a minimum spend of $4680.
Roambi Business also features a new HTML-based, touch-oriented version of Roambi’s Publisher app, replacing the Flash-based predecessor. This will extend the authoring experience to new classes of devices, including tablets.
Even without the burden of on-premises maintenance, customers may still wish the help of resellers and/or system integrators (SIs) to get the most out of the Roambi platform. With that in mind, Roambi is also announcing the launch of its North American Partner Program, which will create an official ecosystem for resellers and SIs in Roambi’s home continent.
Roambi was an early entrant into the mobile business intelligence (BI) space and, as such, began life as something of a niche solution. The launch of its cloud platform and partner program brings it much more into the mainstream of BI and Big Data solutions.
