Salesforce has unveiled Salesforce1 for Higher Ed in order to connect campuses through social, mobile and cloud technologies.
Announced on Friday, the cloud computing company said Salesforce1 for Higher Ed solutions will allow higher education facilities to better connect to, engage and recruit students through 1:1 communication.
In addition, Salesforce has partnered with CRM solutions provider roundCorner and developed the Advancement Connect application, which "enables universities to optimize alumni relationships and fundraise from any device." Universities including the University of Southern California and Arizona State University are already users of the Salesforce1 for Higher Ed platform.
Salesforce1 for Higher Ed includes:

- Salesforce for Advancement: Universities can maintain better contact with alumni and expand donor relationships. The Advancement Connect app includes additional features for fundraising, events management and volunteer management. Salesforce for Community Engagement: Increased collaboration across campus through the platform.
