In a sign of the maturity of software as a service, Salesforce.com said Tuesday that the company needs at least 2,000 certified consultants to keep up with revenue growth.
ZDNet Australia's Suzanne Tindal covered Salesforce.com's partner powwow at the Dreamforce conference. The theme of the conference revolves around the social enterprise.
Turns out this social thing can be a bit complicated. Salesforce senior vice president worldwide partners and solutions Denzil Samuels talked complexity and a changing landscape.
"The landscape's changed. There's complexity. The need for the partners has become intense."
Add it up and Salesforce.com needs a consultant army of sorts. The company launched a certification program.
The upshot is that SaaS is getting more complicated.
