Samsung announces yet another Galaxy Tab: the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus

Another day, another Samsung tablet. Does the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus stand a chance?

The market can't ever have too many tablets. Or so one might think looking at Samsung's tablet portfolio, which consists of the orignal Galaxy Tab 7 as well as 10-inch, 8.9-inch and even 7.7-inch variants.

Today, Samsung is adding yet another Galaxy Tab to the mix: the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus. Virtually identical to the original 7-inch Galaxy Tab, the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus features a 1.2GHZ dual-core processor, HSPA+ support, and either 16GB or 32GB of storage. Also included is Android 2.3,

But will the latest Tab stick? Considering that Amazon's Kindle Fire is coming this November, Samsung probably shouldn't expect too much from the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus.

The Galaxy Tab 7 Plus's rollout begins this October in Indonesia and Austria, with a launch in Europe and U.S. to follow soon after. No word on price just yet, but if Samsung wants the thing to sell at all, it should price the device at no more than $250. But chances are it won't.
