Samsung, Fitbit lead J.D. Power satisfaction rankings

J.D. Power's first wearable device satisfaction ranking gives Samsung the highest rating with Fitbit No. 2.

Samsung had the highest rating in the fitness band market with Fitbit a strong No. 2, according to J.D. Power.

J.D. Power's inaugural 2015 fitness band satisfaction report tracks reliability, price, ease of use, features and other qualities. Like other J.D. Power ratings, the rankings are based on a 1,000 point scale.

Samsung ranked highest with a score of 860 with Fitbit delivering 839. Jawbone was last with a score of 802 and the average device score is 839.

The report is based on 2,007 customers who bought a fitness band or smartwatch in last 12 months. The next report is likely to include Apple Watch.
