Sprinthas gotten official about the upcoming release of the Samsung Intercept mobile phone, which will be arriving in stores this weekend.
The Android 2.1-powered Intercept hosts a full QWERTY keyboard and a 3.2-inch touchscreen. The rest of the stats on the phone aren't too shabby either, including:
3G (EVDO-Rev. 0)
microSD card slot (up to 32GB)
For those who like to maximize their work time on their smartphones, there's support for viewing Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. And then for those who just like to text and have fun, look for direct access to Facebook and Twitter.
The Intercept will be landing in Sprint stores on Sunday, July 11 for $99.99 (after a $100 mail-in rebate) with the signing of a two-year contract. Since there's also access to SprintTV on this handheld, you can try watching the World Cup final on that tiny screen as well if you buy one that day.
