For consumers looking for a bit more power in a point-and-shoot camera, Samsung has brought out the 16-megapixel ST6500.

Samsung touts the ST6500 as a "stylish" camera, which I suppose is true. The all-black exterior seems rather typical for a pocket camera, but I guess black never goes out of style.

Nevertheless, one of the key design points is the camera’s body, which is curved around the lens and angled at seven degrees for a more ergonomic fit.

From there, we have some above average specs:

  • 26mm wide-angle lens
  • 5x optical zoom
  • Optical and Digital Image Stabilization
  • 3-inch LCD touch screen with Smart Touch 3.0 user interface
  • 1/2.33-inch CCD image sensor
  • 720p HD video recording and playback
  • Smart Auto focus (Still/Movie)
  • Smart Filter 2.0
  • Perfect Portrait System

The ST6500 will also be on shelves this March for $229.99.
