Seagate has added yet another network storage solution to its arsenal. This time it's the GoFlex Home, which can be accessed by any computer on a given network in the same household via Wi-Fi.
The set-up appears relatively simple on paper. A user just needs to connect the GoFlex Home to the wireless router. From there, the storage device can be accessed by other Wi-Fi enabled devices on the same network, whether they be Mac or PC computers and even smartphones. You can also set up a maximum of three computers to be automatically backed up on schedule.
The GoFlex Home sits on a NAS dock, which hosts an additional USB 2.0 port. Seagate suggests using this with either a printer on the same network or connecting to another external hard drive.
Thankfully, the GoFlex Home boxes aren't really overpriced. Buyers have two options: $159.99 for 1TB or $229.99 for 2TB.
