Evatran, the developer of the Plugless Power wireless charging technology for electric vehicles, is turning to a familiar household name for help with installation.The company has signed a deal with Sears Home Services, which is the residential and commercial installation arm of the Sears Holding company.

The company has signed a deal with Sears Home Services, which is the residential and commercial installation arm of the Sears Holding company. The agreement will cover:

  • Installation bundled into the technology purchase price
  • Pre-installation site assessments
  • Ongoing service and maintenance

The installation program will begin in 2012, after Sears technicians are trained on the technology and the nuances of its installation. The initial focus for the Plugless Power wireless charging system for electric vehicles will be owners of the Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf electric vehicles. The companies will announce a complete geographic rollout plan and pricing at a later date.
