Antivirus software will represent a 64% share of the SCM market by 2008. SCM appliances, defined by IDC as a combination of hardware and software sold as an appliance with the primary function of performing Web filtering, messaging security, or virus protection, have exploded onto the security scene. The SCM market will grow from $130 million market in 2003, to over $1 billion in 2008.
