Server revenues up 7.7%, unit shipments up 24.5% in Q2 2004

Global revenue from server sales climbed to $11.5 bln in Q2 2004, according to Gartner. This represents a 7.7% revenue increase YTY. The revenue growth was positive in all regions. In terms of unit shipments, there was a 24.5% rise YTY, with 1.6 mln units shipped during the quarter.
