Sharp trashes PDA pricing to £300
Under pressure from the rush of Windows CE handheld devices, Sharp has taken an axe to pricing on its PDA line to bring the point of entry down to below £300.
The 1Mb RAM ZR-5700 is reduced to £300 including VAT, from its previous £430 while the 2Mb ZR-5800 with backlight comes down from £530 to £400.
Sharp said that the cuts were down to economies of scale in components, particularly LCD screens.
