SIP security full of holes? This white paper says it is

I've just stumbled across "Security Testing of SIP Implementations." Written by three academics,the paper detailsmultiple security weaknesses in the Session Initiation Protocol used in VoIP calls.

Much of this stuff is "deep geek" - equations and all that, but you really should read it.
