Ah, the fun never stops in Microsoft/Skype land. It's nice to see some people finally getting exactly what Skype thinks they deserve, anyway. As reported by cnet, GigaOM and even the Skype Cheerleaders, Skype has been busy recently tossing a number of (former) executives under the bus. Speculation in two out of three of the cited articles is that this is being done before the official merger to reduce the payout obligations. As I have said previously, if there were ever two companies who deserved each other, it is Microsoft and Skype. Ballmer can give Skype some experienced advice in tossing employees overboard when profit falls to a measly couple of billion dollars.
P.S. Oh, and stay tuned, because I'm sure that we will get an "official statement" from Skype pretty soon, and it will helpfully explain that this problem affects "just a few people", and that Skype is "working hard" to correct it...
