Skype video chat comes to (some) Android Phones

Skype's Android app now features 1-to-1 video chat. But does your device support the update? (Hint: likely not.)

Long after its October release, Skype's Android App is finally getting video chat. But if you were expecting your device to be among the update's supported devices, you may be disappointed. So far the list of supported devices is numbered at a decidedly brief five: the HTC Desire S, Sony Ericcson Xperia Neo, Xperia Pro, and the Nexus S.

The Skype update comes not long after both Netflix and Hulu Plus made their way to Android - sans, of course, support for all phones. The reason for those voids in support was mostly over DRM concerns, which makes a bit more sense than the unequal support for the Skype update.
