Apple announced that pre-orders for the new iPhone 4S handset hit 1 million in a single day. Have you pre-ordered yours?
Hitting 1 million pre-orders is a day is impressive - the iPhone 4 only managed 600,000 pre-orders on day one, while the iPad only managed sales of 300,000 on the first day.
Note: More on how the day 1 pre-orders for the iPhone 4S compare to other Apple products by Larry Dignan over on Between the Lines.
So, what do you think drove pre-orders to such levels? Andrew Nusca has some suggestions here, but I'm interested in hearing from people who have already stumped up the cash for a pre-order.
Why did YOU pre-ordered an iPhone 4S?
I've not pre-ordered one ... I think I'll wait a few months for the kinks to be ironed out. I don't need a 4S to be cool ... and anyway, since it looks like my iPhone 4, I'd have to tell people how much cooler I was! ;)
