Sony's Alpha NEX-3 interchangeable lens digital camera has gone pink, and apparently it's just for the ladies.
Sony doesn't hide the fact whatsoever that this this rosy-colored NEX-3 is intended for the female demographic, along with several other pink accessories. That includes a couple of cases set to roll out next May and an accessory kit consisting of a battery, screen protector and wrist band that will ship next month.
One might scoff at the idea of carrying around a cotton candy-shaded cam that is larger than a point-and-shoot, but this shade is soft enough that it is actually quite attractive on this compact 14.2-megapixel camera.
The Sony Alpha NEX-3 in pink will only be available in Japan (at least for now) when it launches on November 19 for ¥80,000 ($978). That price includes the 18-55mm kit lens. Stateside, you could get the same thing in black, silver and red for just under $600.
