Gamers look to import games for Sony's PlayStation Vita have been greeted with some positive news today: Sony doesn't plan to region lock its latest handheld.
The move, of course, isn't unprecedented. Both the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3 are region free, allowing users to play imported games, especially those not deemed fit enough for localization.
Likely the only folks unhappy with the news are Nintendo 3DS owners, who havent been so lucky with Nintendo's latest handheld. While Nintendo has traditionally region locked their home consoles, the 3DS is only the second portable Nintendo to hold that status.
