Consumer grade camcorders like Sony's HandyCam may be under assault by the increasingly-capable lenses of your smartphone, but that doesn't mean they can't remain at least somewhat relevant.
Sony's latest effort is the HDR-PJ50, a 1920×1080 HD video camera that also happens to have its own Pico projector. Capable of displaying a sixty inch image, the HDR-PJ50's projector works on any flat surface - assuming, of course, that that flat surface happens to be in a fairly dark space. Pico projectors may be nifty, but they aren't magical.
The HDR-PJ50's other important specifications include a 220 GB hard drive 12x zoom, and Dolby 5.1-ready stereo speakers.
