More than 500 bln spam e-mails were blocked by AOL filters in 2005. The number of junk e-mails reported by AOL's 26 mln members worldwide has declined about 75% since 2003. In 2005, AOL blocked an average of 1.5 bln spams per day. Approximately 80% e-mails received at its gateway were blocked. Donald Trump and penis patch were among the hottest spam topics for 2005.
