Spotted: Mysterious tiny screen with Apple copyright

Here's a good mystery store to ponder during a summer weekend. Images have recently surfaced of a 3 cm x 3 cm touchscreen LCD display with a very distinct Apple 2009 copyright stamp.

Spotted first by Apple.pro, everyone is buzzing because no one seems to know for which future Apple product the display is intended.

Most fingers are pointing towards something related to the iPod (especially the iPod Shuffle), and there's even speculation about an "iWatch." I doubt that Apple would choose to go down the timepiece route right now, but they've pushed out weirder products in the past.

Any ideas as to what this tiny screen might be used with?
