With the acquisition of the iPhone, Sprint finally its ace. And for good reason. The company is confirming today that its unlimited data plans will extend to new iPhone owners.
"We will be offering the benefit of our unlimited plans that start at just $69.99,” Sprint told AllThingsD.
That's a big deal for consumers, but perhaps a bigger deal for Sprint. Its unlimited data plans will give it a major edge over Verizon and AT&T, which have already nixed their own unlimited data plans.
But what about the speeds? Will Sprint's network be able to handle the rush of new iPhone customers? Sprint doesn't seem too worried, but we'll know for sure once the company starts getting hit with iPhone activations.
