The UltraSPARC III technology-based Sun Fire 4810 server includes full hardware redundancy and a variety of advanced mainframe-class availability features, such as Hot CPU Upgrades* and Dynamic Reconfiguration*. With Solaris Resource Manager and Dynamic System Domains*. The Sun Fire 4810 is designed to fit 30-inch-deep racks, and all components are front-accessible for easy placement and serviceability.

*These features will be available late in 2001.

-Key Specifications: From two to 12 UltraSPARC III processors, up to 96 GB of memory, 16 PCI cards, and one or two System Domains. The system offers mainframe-class availability features, including full hardware redundancy, concurrent maintenance, online upgrades and Hot CPU Upgrades. Additionally, this system offers mainframe-class resource management with fully fault isolated Dynamic System Domains. The high performance system interconnect, the Sun Fireplane Interconnect, delivers 9.6 GB/sec. sustained bandwidth and has an aggregate bandwidth of 33.6 GB/sec. All components are 100% front accessible. The system can be mounted in an industry standard 19" wide, 30" deep racks.
