The zoo's Online Aquarium offers visitors a 3D ocean and river environment with talking cyber fish. All species at Bristol's Zoo Gardens' Aquarium are included and have been created from a variety of sources including film, video, paintings and computer generated images. The fish will talk about themselves, providing both education and entertainment. Children's games based on identifying the fish are also featured as well as a game that let's children lasso brightly coloured seahorses!

Zoo director Geoffrey Greed said of the project: "The Online Aquarium will give a completely new dimension to the zoo's Web site and we hope that it will encourage more people to enjoy a trip to Bristol Zoo Gardens."

The Aquarium, sponsored by BT, launched this week.
