Symantec posts record quarter
Symantec yesterday posted record revenues and profits for its first financial quarter running April to July.
Revenues were $135 million, up from $109 million a year earlier, and profits were 30 cents per share, up 400 per cent year on year.
CEO Gordon Eubanks described the quarter as "excellent" and the company said its star performer was the Norton Anti-Virus line which now includes protection for firewalls.
