Target Super Bowl HDTV deals include 42-inch 1080p LCD for $499

Now that Walmart has revealed its Super Bowl HDTV deals, Target is back with its second weekend of specials, upping the ante a little bit over last week's offers. If you don't mind a second-tier brand in Magnavox, Target is offering the 42-inch 1080p 42MF439B for just $499.

To put that in perspective, the lowest online price I could locate for the set was in the neighborhood of $750. Likewise, the Philips 47-inch 120Hz 47PFL6704D/F7 is $848; Amazon sells the set for $1,155.30.

Target also has a pair of Vizio TVs on sale, including the same 55-inch 120Hz VF550M as Walmart does, for a dollar more ($1,299). Also available is the 37-inch 1080p 120Hz SV370XVT1A for $629, which undercuts Buy.com's price by $30. Best Buy's latest Super Bowl deals will be available tomorrow, so check back here to see if they're big game worthy.
