in brief Superannuation specialist Superpartners has chosen Synchronised Software and Indian IT services giant Tata Consulting Services (TCS) to deliver a large portion of its $70 million core systems revamp.

Superpartners said in a statement today that another section of its revamp would see a new enterprise resource planning system installed, with suppliers for that project to be announced shortly. The new ERP system is slated to be in place by July 2009, and the new core administration platform by January 2010.

"Superpartners processes about $1 billion in superannuation contributions every month, and over 80 per cent of these are paper-based. We're aiming to be 100 per cent electronic by 2011," said the company's chief executive Greg Camm. The new contracts will come after a 12-month consultation and analysis period and are also expected to deliver Superpartners greater agility.

The company also expects to make a further announcement soon in relation to a new contract involving IT infrastructure managed services.
