Intel always uses its annual developer event, IDF, to show off emerging technology. This year saw remote-controlled full-size cars on show, together with prototype fuel cells providing visual treats aplenty.
At the other end of the high-tech spectrum, a trip out to see how African communities are putting old technology donated by UK companies to good use yielded some truly inspiring images.
