The Green Grid industry consortium, focused on developing metrics and technical resources for operating and building energy efficient datacenters, has announced that they are opening their membership rolls to individuals, not just businesses and industry vendors. The $400 individual membership will give analysts and consultants, who don't work for larger companies that are already members, access to the conferences and resources that the Green Grid can provide.
The membership gives the individual access to all of the members-only webcasts on the technical topics that the Green Grid is working on and producing, the ability to participate in committees and working groups within the Green Grid and the ability to participate in all of the general meetings of the organization.
Additionally membership includes one registration to the annual Green Grid Forum, access to the members-only section of the green Grid website, and the use of the Green Grid member logo and their "Tradeshow in a Box" materials.
Details on joining the Green Grid can be found here.
