I couldn't resist commenting on the latest phishing attempt to show up in my inbox. As with many phishing attempts, it displays a legitimate looking eBay URL.
I couldn't resist commenting on the latest phishing attempt to show up in my inbox. As with many phishing attempts, it displays a legitimate looking eBay URL. But when I mouse over it in Outlook (or reveal the HTML source), the link's true desitination (http://gae.prizaar.com/ebay.com.html) is revealed. But there was another clue to the e-mail's nefarious nature. It was the following warning:
If you do not respond in 24h after you have received this eBay notice, your account might be closed and got out from our server .
