This, I must have: A fashionable iPhone cover that appeals to the green side

I'm almost embarrassed to take my iPhone out in public right now, given the sad, soiled state of overuse that its cover has fallen into. Now, not only do I have a replacement option that appeals to my loud primary color sensibility, but that is recyclable!

I'm almost embarrassed to take my iPhone out in public right now, given the sad, soiled state of overuse that its cover has fallen into. Now, not only do I have a replacement option that appeals to my loud primary color sensibility, but that is recyclable! (Small things get me going sometimes.) I'm sure that many more cultish Apple fans will tell me these have been out for a while, but I didn't know about them. This appeals to me, I'm sure, because I'm overtired and weary of considering power management and virtualization in all of my blog entries, so allow me to be silly for a change.

The case, which is available for current iPhone and iPod models, is called Shades from ShadesCases.

I plucked this photo so you can see all the shades of Shades you can buy (and at $16.95 they're inexpensive enough for you to get several if you have this thing about matching colors like I do).

More importantly, though, both the cases and the packaging that it comes in are 100 percent recyclable, which is great considering how trashed I know this thing will become after a month in my purse.

I also appreciate the fact that the case is just 0.4 millimeters thick, just a light skin that protects your gadget from greasy fingers and from scratches. Clutz alert here. You can get to all the controls and ports when this case is on AND you can even dock an iPod. No brainer.
