Thus adds mobility to fixed-line portfolio

Telecommunications provider Thus launched its mobile product portfolio on Tuesday.

The portfolio includes workforce management, messaging and location-based services products. According to Thus, the products are available on-site or as a fully managed and hosted package.

Thus has its own next-generation fixed network, so the new portfolio essentially uses that and Vodafone's mobile network to let customers roll out fixed-mobile convergence entirely through Thus. The provider is touting itself as a "one-stop shop for… fixed and mobile networks, applications, hardware, support and installation".

"Thus's workforce mobilisation product portfolio will add value to businesses by providing an intelligent and dynamic way of assigning jobs to workers in the field, tracking progress and delivering accurate information to their customers," claimed Nigel Stevens, the provider's product director, on Tuesday.
