Google today released a version of their toolbar for the enterprise.  It enables administrators to give employees the productivity enhancing features of the new Google Toolbar 4.0.  It is easy to install over the network using Windows Installer.

According to the Enterprise Toolbar features page, it includes the following features for administrators:

Simple and safe to deploy
Google Toolbar Beta for Enterprise includes a Microsoft Windows Installer package that makes organization-wide distribution a snap.

Standards-based administration
Centrally manage all user preferences using Microsoft Group Policy settings. This feature enables you to designate which features are available for end-users.

Search Your Corporate Network
Google Toolbar Beta for Enterprise integrates with the Google Search Appliance and Google Mini to give easy access to search across your corporate network.

Customizable search buttons

Create customized search buttons that automatically enable your users to search anything from your company's public website to subscription research sites.

Test before distributing
Choose to download updated versions of the Google Toolbar to a centralized location to deliver to your end users. If active, this feature disables the Toolbar from auto-updating.

Pop-up Whitelist
Designate a list of sites (such as your intranet) for which you want to allow pop-up windows. When you set the whitelist for a domain, all URLs within the domain can use pop-up windows.
