The number of search engine queries by US Internet users surpassed 5 bln in August 2005, an increase of 4.8% from July 2005 (4.8 bln), according to comScore qSearch. More people used search engines in August 2005 than in July 2005, 132.4 mln US Internet users did a search in August 2005, up from 131 mln in July 2005. Google was #1 in August 2005 with 37.3%, Yahoo! was #2 with 29.7%. MSN accounted for 15.8%, while Time Warner Network had 9.6%.
