Following its debut last week, the Toshiba UX600 Cinema Series has been labeled as compatible with the Windows 7 operating system, making it the first HDTV series to receive that certification.

Televisions aren't just screens to be hooked up to cable boxes anymore. To beat out the competition, developers have to come up with new and more exciting forms of entertainment everyday.

With W7 support, the UX600 HDTVs have access to the "Play To" feature, allowing music and video playback plus photo displays on the screen from another device on the home network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

The UX600 series features high-definition displays in 40-, 46- and 55-inch sizes. For more information on their specs and availability details, check out the Toshiba product page.
