The agency hopes to share as much of what Australia has to offer as possible to its two million (1,950,476 to be exact) fans.

"Information added will receive exposure to the 1.9 million Australia Facebook fans around the world," said Tourism Australia.

The new tab will act like a directory, letting fans search by Places or Events. Once they've chosen one of these, they can refine their search by destination (naming state and city), the experience they're after and the date. Additionally, under Places they can choose to "experience" food and wine, nature and coastal; under the Events tab, fans can choose from performances, markets, festivals, sporting events and so on.

Businesses can add their listing by visiting the Australia Facebook page, clicking the "things to do" tab on the left side and clicking "add your Facebook page" at the bottom of the form, which will then have a form pop up to be filled out.

Tourism Australia has also integrated photos taken by its fans using the iPhone app Instagram, with a tab that posts any photos that have the hashtag "SeeAustralia".
