Budget CAD king of the hill IMSI has released the latest revisions of TurboCAD as it sharpens its claws against Autodesk.

TurboCAD v4 (about £115 inc. VAT) and TurboCAD v4 Professional (about £270 inc. VAT) offer Internet hooks for helpdesk and publishing, improved AutoCAD compatibility, new symbols, a revamped user interface that is Microsoft Office compatible and includes fly-out toolbars, a multimedia product tour and Setup Wizard.

"The release of AutoCAD R14 is causing users to reassess their investment in CAD," said Chris Alexandre, IMSI's UK managing director. "Now more than ever, TurboCAD is the logical choice for companies to complement existing AutoCAD seats and proliferate access to drawings, design data, and CAD technology throughout their organisations."
